Cupcake give away!! This Contest is Now Closed - winner announced

Call me crazy, but I am willing to battle the long post office lines to mail two 1/2 yard pieces from my Confections collection with Robert Kaufman to one lucky winner. I have 1/2 yard of vanilla and 1/2 yard of blueberry (although this does look more like vanilla and chocolate :))).  Leave me a comment convincing me why I am not crazy and I will notify the winner Friday morning.

Well Hello Amy, You know there has been a bit of cupcake fabric out there with domestic lines and japanese lines. And as a lover of cupcake fabric, I will definitely say I love yours the best. This is really darling. Nice job.

Anonymous said...

Crazy? Well I would say crazy talented, but not for giving away beautiful fabric! This type of thing makes life more exciting for those of us who want to win your creation! And waiting in line at the Post Office to ship it is well an added "gift" to whomever wins!

Just thought this post might bring you a little laughter today :)

Love that fabric and think what a perfect gift in time for the Holiday. Best of luck everyone! And thanks for the giveaway!!!

JeLowe said...

Not crazy, a perfect holiday surprise! I am crazy about this fabric!!!

Lois0607 said...

Oh I love that fabric. Getting this into the mail to a lucky someone is so generous. Going to the post office can be crazy this time of year but you are not crazy for going. Make it fun by talking to the people in front and behind you in line. It makes the time pass and it is interesting to see how people react. Some people do get irritated but it is worth the try.

Sequana said...

Sorry, I can't do that. You ARE crazy!........*L*

But I'd sure love to have some of those crazy cupcakes......

Jamie said...

You are not crazy because you know you want one of your readers to enjoy this wonderful fabric and create wonderful things. The smile on our faces if we won would make a great gift to you and that must be why you're willing. I on the other hand would print a label at home using paypal so I wouldn't have to wait in line, but you must like the post office. :)

kz said...

You are not crazy just full of the holiday spirit and sometimes standing in line makes for great people watching and sometimes really fun conversations with them, too. Love the cupcakes!

Jamie said...

such cute fabric, such a great giveaway! Crazy, I don't know I view the post office as an adventure, you meet the most interesting people, cute kids, etc. Also, find a substation, sometimes there are no lines there! Mine is in the hardware store, super handy!

EmmyLizzy said...

Sure you might be a little crazy - but I think EVERYONE goes crazy during the holidays!

Susan said...

Crazy? Well, maybe a little but it is very much appreciated. This fabric is very cute. My daughter would love it.

Beautiful fabrics! Of course you're not crazy -- You're a CRAFTER. Many people (non-crafters, particularly spouses) may confuse the two but a crafter knows the difference. It's all about the fabric!

Feeder of the Hungry Beans said...

No, you are not crazy! I find the long holiday line to be a pretty jolly place. Everybody's holding pretty packages and thinking of far-off loved ones. Even the postal workers tend to be in good moods. Now, compare that to April 15...

Tabitha said...

I will not convince you you are not crazy cause most of us who drool over fabric or create have just that touch of craziness that makes us that much unique soooo you are a touch of crazy as we all are and I will not convince you otherwise or I would be lying....keep being you!

What adorable fabric! Thanks for the chance to win some of it. Don't you know that by standing in those long lines, your're really doing much, much more...spreading holiday cheer, giving those poor postal workers something to do so they don't lose their jobs, and it gives you the chance to get out and finish up a few more of your holiday errands! Oh, and the recipient "Me" will be forever grateful, lol!! Ho! Ho! Ho!

You are so not crazy!!! It is really nice to have that feeling that you just made someone's day. I use to go through the drive through line and pay for my food and the person who was behind me in line just to see the smile on there face when they were told that there food was already paid for. It really is so fun to be that person making other peoples day.

I love your art. It is very special and unique. I also believe that the artist is very special and unique person. I wish for the fabric to be given to a mom with a very special daughter that would glow from the inside out every time she wears the skirt that her mom makes for her out of the fabric. I would be honored to make her a knit top to match. Does anyone know of such a girl?

I guess it's all how you look at it. There is often a fine line between brave and crazy. So is it "crazy" to attempt to go to the post office at this time of year or simply "brave"? I think that with you being a wonderful fabric designer, daring to to try bold designs and colors. To create something that appeals to the masses and hopefully turn a bit of coin from it, is brave. So I say that, nay you are not crazy. You are just an amazingly brave, creative adventuress that won't let anything stand in your way to deliver this really cute fabric to one of your followers/commenters. Not even the piddly ol' long lines at the post office. (how's that?)
Cheers!

Mary on Lake Pulaski said...

By giving this wonderful fabric to me you will be doing some more advertising. Since I am known to love your fabric, I will be making something awesome and telling EVERYONE about your fabric. So that's it, you're not crazy, you are very, very smart (and creative).

Not crazy! Use the APC-automated postal center-and you can go at any time. I usually go around 6 when the post office is closed and no waiting! This only works if you are shipping domestically-no APOs or foreign mail. HTH!

Of course you aren't crazy. This is the season of giving and sometimes we just have to suck it up and brave the craziness around us to celebrate. :-) Thank you for offering this beautiful fabric. I would love to win it. Take care and God bless, Cory

Hi Amy.....well, you probably are a bit crazy because people with your kind of talent usually are...and that is also what makes you so generous!! Some of us never find your fabric locally and particularly enjoy ordering from internet and showing off our projects with their vibrant colors and unique design to friends and colleagues who just oooh and awhhh! You are very generous and special to do this for your fans, even when it means possible lines....thanks Amy,
Debbie

You are a little crazy but good crazy I think, this is very cool fabric and I will have to be physically stopped from making turn ups for my little boys trousers from it! The trouble with only having boys is that they get some weird clothing made by me cos I will never be able to make cute dresses(a step to far for 2 boys I think) so they get groovy fabric trousers and batman wings ( adapted fairy wings). Give the boys some cupcake love and I will send a photo if I win.

You are not crazy. Remember the reason for the season. It is all about giving and not receiving. I believe that you have a strong feeling for the giving. If I am not the recipient then I know the beautiful fabric was meant to go to a very special person this holiday season.

Mystica said...

Not crazy but just full of goodwill towards men!!!!

Thank you.

Julie Antinucci said...

you're not crazy. just think of all of the great things you can accomplish while in line getting ready to mail me, one of your biggest fans that fabric. You could:
1.) buff your nails (something I know nothing about, but it might be a good thing)
2.) learn the capitols to all 50 states
3.) make a new friend in line
4.) memorize the box sizes for priority mail. if it fits, it ships!
5.) text your BFF
6.) double check your naughty and nice list
7.) find inner peace
8.) drink a fountain soda (one of my favorite activities)
9.) work on a hand sewing project
10.) make a to-do list

OH, and finally, to convince you, I would say forget all of those things and use the Automated Postal System. That's how I send a majority of my packages. No one is ever using it. No line! It's awesome!

Janette and Nick said...

It is amazing what fascinating people you meet in post office queues. Tell them that you are posting cup cakes and they could be friends for life. Love the fabric. Janette

Ever since you showed these coming out I've been dying for it to hit the stores. I adore everything you come out with and cupcakes are my #1 thing to collect. I'm glad you mentioned the darker one being blue and not brown because that certainly makes a difference when I'm planning what to make with my new favorite line. I haven't won one of your generous giveaways yet but I'm always crossing my fingers and hoping this will be the one. Please add my name to the hat for a chance to win.
